My name is Karen McCormack. I am wife, mother, teacher and Christchurch photographer. At the age of 16, I picked up a Pentax K1000 and fell in love with photography. My camera equipment is much more sophisticated today, but my passion is still the same – not only capturing a scene or an event, but the experience of the occasion: its power, emotion and beauty. Whether it be wedding, family photos, babies and children, Kindy, formals, pregnancy photos or just some special personal portraits, I have a natural, creative and fun style photography.
Weddings
Your wedding will be one of the most important days of your life. The photos will capture your love story. Every story is different and I aim to capture yours through my photography. Pretty much everyone gets a little nervous in front of a camera. That’s why I love to laugh and have fun during photo sessions. I believe that you should be able to relax, enjoy the moment, & feel free to be yourself. I am fortunate to have my husband as my side-kick when I shoot a wedding. Our talents complement each other and it is fabulous to have him by my side.
